Emails and calls will be responded to during business hours only.
If you are experiencing a life-threatening emergency, please call 911 or go to your nearest emergency room.
Email is for initial contact only and does not constitute the establishment of a therapeutic relationship between provider and patient. Do not email any information that is private, sensitive, or Protected Health Information (PHI).
The doctor-patient relationship takes time, and it is the most important aspect of my practice at Nurturing Minds Psychiatry. At this time, I am operating on a fee-for-service basis. I am not contracted with any insurance companies and will be considered “out of network” or “private pay “ provider. Many patients are able to submit receipts for reimbursement by utilizing any out-of-network insurance benefits. After each appointment, you will be provided a comprehensive receipt, called a “super bill,” upon request to submit directly to your insurance company. Please contact your insurance provider for coverage terms in advance.
Payment is due at the time of service.
Accepted payment methods include Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover
Charges for telemedicine appointments are the same as they are for in-person office visits, and are collected prior to the session. The patient would need to be in a private setting for their appointment, with a device that has Internet access and a functioning camera. Finally, please note that telemedicine visits would be conducted through a free and simple HIPAA-compliant website (no download required).
We require a 24-hour notice for cancelled or rescheduled appointments. Missed appointments without sufficient notice are subject to a $75.00 fee for missed initial evaluation and $50 fee for a follow up visit due to time reserved.
Due to our small and independent practice setup, there are a few higher acuity psychiatric conditions that we don’t serve and that we believe would be better served by a multidisciplinary or specialty clinic with more specialized resources/staffing and after-hours services – our office may review this with you when you call for a new patient appointment.
Additionally, we do not provide legal services, custody evaluations or assessments/reports for external parties. Regarding medication management, we tend to be more conservative with benzodiazepine and controlled substance prescriptions than some may prefer.
